I finished writing Code: Daybreak!! Thank you to all the participants and readers!
Since this was my first multi-chaptered fic in Japanese, I found it quite challenging and difficult. But thanks to everyone who cheered for me, I successfully completed it. Thank you!!
I found everyone’s characters interesting since the participants came up with lots of setting ideas that I wouldn’t have imagined myself. I think I was also able to get better at writing stories through this fic. I’ll keep working hard to make my next works even better!

Creation Timeline
- 25 Feb: Gathered participants
- 7 Mar: Posted the cover illustration, synopsis and Chapter 1
- 9 May: Completed the fic (Updated once or twice every week)
Word Count
- More or less 4000~5000 Japanese characters per chapter. (Totaling over 55 500 characters for the entire fic.)
Miscellaneous
- I only wanted around 8 people at first, but since I got a total of 18 (including me), I increased the scale of the story so we can have something epic!
- I think it’ll be crazy if 18 supposedly rare S-Rank kids came to Cassell at once, so I chose acceptance and finding a place in society as the main themes!
- A lot of my participants love taking screenshots of their characters, so I included a lot of photos in the fic. (Thanks for donating all the awesome photos, everyone!!)
- Eir is a Valkyrie from Norse mythology and her name means ‘support’ or ‘mercy’. Since her purpose is to ‘save’ unstable hybrids who were shunned by society, I thought Eir would be a fitting Valkyrie for the role!
