Ever since I created Fae in high school, Spellbound and its characters have been my muse for a long time! I hope I can pick this project up again one day and make it a proper finished work.

Summary:
The adventures of the mage prodigy Fae as he travels the world and solves problems related to magic and magical beings. He searches for the origins of his mysterious and dangerous powers with the help of friends and companions that he gathers along the way.

- Fae’s created on 10 Jan 2010. I’ve been making more characters and expanding the world on and off ever since.
- The whole project didn’t have an official title until 2016, when I had to put together a job hunt portfolio and titled the project ‘Spellbound’.
- Spellbound’s mostly inspired by various fantasy JRPGs.
Spellbound Stories
Despite my love for it, I’ve never made Spellbound into a proper, finished story. As of now, it stays just as plot points in my head. I want to make something out of it eventually, so I’ll just write down whatever I have so far over here for the record.
- All these are the chaos my young, school kid brain came up with, so if I ever make a finished version in future, I’ll most likely change a lot of things for the sake of coherence and quality.
- Everything below is not listed in the order I created them, but in chronological order of the story’s plot.
Fae's Parents
Xaphan and Lorelei
Fae’s father Xaphan is a powerful mage of mysterious origins. An orphan boy with no memory, he’s taken in by a noble mage family as a servant after rescuing the family’s daughter Lorelei. The family’s relatives despise Xaphan as a stranger, but the kind Lorelei befriends him. Xaphan must work hard to prove himself and win the right to be with Lorelei.
Young Fae
The King of Mages
Born a prodigy, Fae is a mage who’s able to use any type of magic even as a young boy. Feared and envied by those around him, he feels alienated. His father’s sudden disappearance and unsavory mages trying to kidnap him soon triggers a quest where he has to figure out his true origins. His loyal butler Levon and his maid Sophia aid him on his journey.
Loyal Hounds
Fae’s familiar, a high-ranking hellhound, gets into trouble as a coup d’etat slowly brews in the underworld. Fae visits the underworld to help him figure out who’s behind it and prevent the coup.
The Dragon Mage
The Draconis family is a noble mage family descended from the dragons, holding great power and influence in the politics of mages. Fae’s cousin from that family is unfortunately born with no magical abilities, so Fae’s aunt is desperate and wonders if Fae can do something about it. Meanwhile, the other members of the Draconis family plots to take Fae’s power for themselves.
Adult Fae
The Chimera
Charles is a chimera created in a secret alchemy lab using forbidden magic and necromancy. Considered a failed experiment and a dangerous creature, his creators try to kill him the moment he’s born, but Charles escapes. Meanwhile, now an adult, Fae has set up a business where he accepts quests that deal with magic and the supernatural. Charles appears at his doorstep and gives him his first quest—visit the forbidden village of the necromancers and find a way to free him from his curse, so he can live a normal life.
The Witch Queen
Several kingdoms view mages and magic as evil, fearing what their supernatural abilities can do. In those kingdoms, mages and witch hunters are constantly at war. Attacked by witch hunters while passing the area, Fae is rescued by the witch queen. Having heard of Fae’s exploits, she urges Fae to fight with her and save the mages. She gives Fae command of battalions led by her commanders Edelweiss, Black Rose and Clover.
Wanted
After the witch queen incident, Weiss (Edelweiss) becomes Fae’s apprentice, helping out in his business. Things are going well, but Fae’s growing power and influence are starting to look like a threat to the witch hunters. They plot for a way to get rid of him.
Weiss’ Quest
Fae went missing during a solo quest. Weiss visits various places, asks various people, and fights monsters to look for him.
The Gifted Child
A mysterious young boy, Lucius, shows up at Fae’s doorstep. He seems to be a powerful mage who has been separated from his parents. Fae and Weiss take care of him as they try to reunite him with his family.
