Pokémon fanfic. My Lucario Ruka’s Unite ending where he parted ways with his elder brother Ruki, because I never got to detail their conversation in my comic ‘Goodbye Aeos Island‘. Here goes!
Lucario Fanfic: Ruka’s Unite Ending
Ruka: Brother…!
Ruki: …Ruka.
Ruka: (quietly, unsure) …Been a while, huh? I… really miss you.
Ruki: ………
Ruka: (looks away) I… I ended up not being strong enough to make you proud. Is it… really okay for me to talk with you…?
Ruki: …Well, I see that you got a gold ribbon. Must’ve fought a lot, huh? You’ve come a long way from when we were Riolu.
Ruka: Brother…!
Ruki: When you first came here, I thought that it was a joke. You, the little Riolu who’s always crying, who I needed to look after all the time, coming to Aeos Island where you have to fight everyday.
(shakes his head) Thought that you’d run home crying in a few days.
Ruka: ………
Ruki: But you held on for this long just for me. You’re a strong Lucario who can fight now.
(holds Ruka’s cheek) I won’t need to worry about you even if we’re separated.
Ruka: (smiles) Of course, brother! I have Rhyme, Zephyr and the others, too!
Ruki: Heh, don’t count on them all the time. If you’re my brother, you should be the one protecting them.
Ruka: Certainly! Leave that to me!
Ruki: Better. You need to walk your own path now, so go on your adventure, Ruka. Show me how strong you are when we meet again.
Ruka: Thank you, brother! Please take care, too!
