Chapter 12: Goddess' Whisper
English Summary
Caesar, Chu Zihang and the Black Swan kids used the unlocked portal and entered the pocket dimension where the dragon leader was hiding.
Inside, they found her, having the appearance of a beautiful woman in a white dress. She grew wings and revealed herself to be the Valkyrie Eir, a powerful dragon with the ability to turn humans into dragon apostles. She had been traveling the world for thousands of years, looking for those powerful and worthy enough to take under her wing to serve the dragons. The Black Swan kids caught her eye, and Eir would do anything to bring them to her side.
Summoning and commanding hundreds of monsters and dragons, Eir quickly pushed the party into a corner. Quickly seeing that it was an obviously losing battle, Tonic was reminded of the day Black Swan bay blew up. His little sister by blood, Vizz, died in vain because she stubbornly stayed back to help her friends. Thinking that it was stupid to suffer the same fate, Tonic slipped away and left through the portal, to everyone’s shock.
Despite that, everyone continued fighting. Eir won’t be defeated easily, though. She summoned a magic circle to destabilize everyone’s dragon blood, aiming to forcefully turn them into monsters so she can control them.
But just when she was about to succeed, Tonic returned, bringing backup with him. It seemed that he couldn’t abandon his siblings after all. He used blood boost to clear the path to the student dorms to call Anjou, the teachers, Lu Mingfei, Munico and anyone who could help. Nono and Finger had also succeeded in recovering Cassell’s computer system, so they joined in with the college’s patrol robots. Everyone thanked Tonic and continued fighting Eir, now with enough people to match up to her monster army.
Everyone eventually succeeded in defeating Eir, but Rhyme fell to the ground, on the verge of turning into a monster from overexertion. Immortal as she was a powerful dragon, Eir’s soul reappeared, trapping the Black Swan kids in a barrier.
She told them that if they wanted to save Rhyme now, the only way to do it would be to turn him into a dragon apostle. Eir also said that she’d do it only if everyone else agreed to join her as well. The Black Swan kids were faced with a dilemma.
