Picture originally drawn between 25 to 30 Jan 2021. CDB was having a huge official new year fanwork contest at the time. I was busy working on my original work Fox Brothers, so I wasn’t sure if I had time to participate. But since I was itching to draw Rhyme and my favourite CDB characters, I couldn’t resist! I ended up jumping in on the last week of the contest and had fun drawing this picture.
- This illustration won the 2021 New Year Contest’s special prize.
Trivia:
- 2021 is the year of the cow, so Solnyshko is wearing a cow hat.
- The characters on the hagoita Echo and Rhyme are holding are my CDB soulmates Baiza-san on the left and Bobotan on the right. Thank you so much for playing with me a lot in 2020!
- The decoration hanging from the hagoita are Club Tsukiyo no Kouchakai’s logo on the left, and Club Nidhogg‘s logo on the right. Thank you so much for playing with me, club members!
- The background’s based on the Hydras map. I like that CDB’s world’s a blend of the traditional and futuristic, so I wanted to express that in this picture.
