Finally finding Anzu in his grand temple, Ninurta made a shocking discovery. Anzu was planning to storm the abode of the gods using an army of innocent brainwashed humans! Ninurta and Gula did their best to prevent it from happening.

English Summary
When Anzu cornered Ninurta with his brainwashed men, Gula and the Seven Winds made it just in time to save him. Together, they fought back against the humans—Gula with her dogs and the Winds with their powerful gusts. With their help, Ninurta was able to turn the situation around, trapping the humans with a wall of branches so he didn’t have to hurt them. With the road cleared, Ninurta swung his mace Sharur at Anzu.
For a moment, it looked as if it was over for Anzu. But he still had an ace up his sleeve—the almighty Tablet of Destinies. With one zap of the Tablet’s energy, Sharur turned from a strong weapon into a soft, fluffy doll. Ninurta was bewildered, but Anzu reminded him of the Tablet’s abilities.
The Tablet was able to nullify enemy attacks and even turn them back at the attackers. It was how Anzu managed to fight and defeat the gods Adad, Shara and Girra when they pursued him.
His weapon now unusable, Ninurta had no way of fighting Anzu. Anzu taunted him and said that he would punish Ninurta for daring to attack him. Readying the Tablet, Anzu cast the curse to turn Ninurta into clay. Gula realized that Ninurta was in trouble. She immediately ran and covered for Ninurta, sacrificing herself to Anzu’s curse in the process.
Seeing his wife slowly turn into clay in front of him and not being able to do anything about it, Ninurta screamed in terror and despair. Before she completely turned, Gula told Ninurta that she was glad to be able to protect him, so he should defeat Anzu and save everyone. Ninurta broke down in tears.
The Seven Winds saw that there was no way of winning this fight now. Distracting Anzu with their gusts, they escaped with Ninurta.
Thunders rolled and it began to storm.
A little away from Anzu’s shrine, Ninurta sat next to the clay statue that was Gula. Her face was serene, seemingly feeling fulfilled that Ninurta was saved. Ninurta was quiet, but then he put on an optimistic smile, saying that he’d defeat Anzu and turn Gula back in no time.
Lightning flashed. As if to remind Ninurta of his failure, the clay statues of Adad, Shara and Girra stood before him. They had frozen mid-battle, their fearful expressions immortalized by Anzu’s curse when he defeated them.
Ninurta screamed, finally admitting his foolishness of fighting Anzu although the three powerful gods couldn’t win. His beloved wife Gula was the price he had to pay for his stupidity.
Feeling broken and tired, Ninurta decided that he’d go home once the rain stopped. Enlil would just find a stronger replacement for him, anyway. Not wanting to think further, Ninurta decided to take a nap.
Sharur worried greatly for Ninurta. So he went and sought help from the god of water and knowledge, Enki. Hearing Sharur’s pleas, Enki arrived. He thanked Sharur for telling him about Ninurta, and said that he’d talk to him.
