Anjou, the seniors and the Black Swan kids discussed some strategies to take down the dragon that had taken over Cassell College.
The student dorms would be their base and Anjou would stay there to command everyone. Lu Mingfei and some teachers would stay to defend the base and take care of the wounded. In the meantime, the Black Swan kids would be divided into three teams to take back the school. Chu Zihang, Nono and Caesar would be the team leaders.
Chu Zihang’s team included Leon, Kazuto, Kuronon, Apoline, Homura and Nijimiya. They were to inspect the area around the school cafeteria and library since the dragon’s powers were the strongest there. The dragon could be hiding nearby.
The Nibelungen the dragon put up had also cut off the school’s electricity and blocked EVA from providing any support. Finger could try to get the system back up with his hacking skills, but he’d need help getting to the principal’s office through the crowd of monsters in the school grounds. So Nono’s team, consisting of Nono, Hee-chan, Kanna, Pukeko, Tonic, Tiffa and Mugi would escort Finger there.
In the meantime, Caesar would lead Violu, Ugetsu, Sola, Bobotan, Ren and Rhyme to rescue the kidnapped students. The teachers and expert dragonslayers would support them.
Before leaving, Caesar warned that the dragons seemed to have deliberately destroyed the building with their vaccine supply first. The vaccine Kanna used was the last one. If anyone used blood boost and became unstable again, turning into a dragon would be unavoidable and they’d have to kill them. The Black Swan kids were told not to use blood boost at all costs.
The plan decided, everyone went their separate ways.
Nono’s team escorted Finger as they made their way towards the principal’s office. The school grounds were full of monsters, but the Black Swan kids being S-Ranks, they managed to clear the path by working together.
Everything went smoothly until a giant ice dragon appeared in front of the principal office building. Raising a great ice wall, it separated Tiffa and Mugi from the the rest of the party. A huge swarm of monsters attacked Nono and the others, while the ice dragon mercilessly attacked Tiffa and Mugi.
Being in a great pinch, Tiffa thought of using blood boost and sacrificing herself to protect Mugi. But Mugi convinced her otherwise, saying that Tiffa was important to her for always protecting her from bullies and waking her up whenever she overslept. Mugi told Tiffa to believe in her and that they could take down the dragon if they worked together.
Tiffa agreed. With their new combined strength, they fought the dragon again. Tiffa attacked the dragon relentlessly with her sword while Mugi healed her and provided support. They defeated the dragon just as Kanna and the others defeated the other monsters and broke down the ice wall.
Successfully clearing the path, the team proceeded to the principal’s office, Tiffa and Mugi growing a stronger trust in each other.
