I sometimes wonder if he actually has some feelings for the orphanage kids. It felt like they could’ve explored so much more about the world setting if only they’ve elaborated Herzog’s backstory and motivation… T-T (You know, like the orphanage’s caretakers in The Promised Neverland. I really want to know why Herzog would go to such lengths to fulfill his goals. Must have had an interesting past.)
