The 100 LINE Stickers Marathon is a project where I made 100 cute and simple LINE stickers for use in the LINE app! They’re mainly geared towards use in daily conversation. The motifs range from cute animals to delicious food. The stickers are made to be easy to use no matter what language you speak!

Artist’s Notes
LINE is a phone messaging app which is currently one of the main communication tools in Japan. I started using LINE shortly after moving to Japan, since all my friends and teachers were using it. In LINE, you can send pictures called ‘stickers’ (‘stamps’ in Japanese) to each other to liven up the conversation. It can be pretty fun! LINE has its own LINE Creators Market and LINE Store. Users can submit and sell their own original stickers there.
The 100 LINE Stickers Marathon is a project I did in 2018 mainly because I wanted to try making my own LINE Stickers. Also, I just found out about how passive income works at the time, so I wanted to see how much passive income I can generate if I made 100 stickers, so there goes!
I officially opened shop on 2 Sep 2018, announcing it on Twitter. It was my first time making LINE stickers, so I decided to go with simple stuff and just focused on finishing the project first. On average, most of the sticker sets took only between a few hours to a day to make. (It’s my first time selling. I had no idea what sells and what doesn’t, so I thought I’d experiment a lot and figure things out along the way.)

Empyrean
In ancient cosmologies, the Empyrean is the place in the highest heaven which is the source of light and creation. I named my shop based on that for this project since I want to make cute stickers that make people smile and brighten their days!
