News – Atelier Tenko YouTube Project Log

This page is a log about my YouTube projects and channel growth. I have plans to make 3 channels in total (Atelier Tenko, Tenko Vlog, Atelier Rhyme), bringing them from zero until they’re all monetized. I’ll just log my progress here to keep track of things, commit to my goals, and maintain my motivation.

Foreword

Being an extremely shy person who hated their own voice, I never even thought of becoming a YouTuber before. But when I tried making voiced animated videos to overcome my shyness in Feb 2026, it went much better than expected, so it felt like a previously invisible door just opened to me. I don’t know if I’ll be any good at this, but I’ll give it a chance and try to get my channels monetized. If it works, I’ll consider becoming a full-time YouTuber.

For context, I quit my job as a professional game artist a while ago to become a manga artist, but things happened and I had to abort the plan. I’m currently living off my savings, so I have until it runs out to make something happen. If it works, I’ll keep at it. Otherwise, I go back to job hunting. Will do my best!

– Membership: 500 subscribers, 3000 watch hours
– Ads revenue: 1000 subscribers, 4000 watch hours

🦊Atelier Tenko [Pending until 2027]

• Concept
  A fully original YouTube channel where I make full animated movies and series about my original characters. I have various stories that I was originally planning to write when I become a professional manga artist, but since that didn’t happen, I might as well make YouTube videos with them.
• Status
  Not yet made. Planning to make it in the first half of 2027 if possible, once I’m done with my Tenko Vlog channel.
  Unlike manga where I only need to draw a comic, I’ll need to make whole videos alone in this case, so I’m using my two other channels (Tenko Vlog and Atelier Rhyme) as testing grounds to experiment and build the necessary skills.

• 23 Apr 2026~: Currently making my first movie in Atelier Rhyme to see if it’s possible for one person to make an entire movie with a proper plot alone. I’ll be measuring how long it takes, seeing the general quality, and seeing what problems I run into along the way. It seems to be going well so far.

🌸Tenko Vlog [YouTube / Dormant until Sep 2026]

• Concept
  An animated vlog where I talk about my adventures during my travels, the culture of the places I visit, and random interesting things in my daily life.
  This channel’s currently in English, but I’m considering switching to French because I don’t get to use French in my daily life at all despite it being my favourite language.
• Status
  Currently dormant. Planning a total makeover to bring it to life after I’m done with my Atelier Rhyme channel.
  This channel was originally made on 4 Jan 2021, but it was just a place for me to dump my travel videos that I recorded for myself, so I never considered making it for an audience. Now that I know how to make voiced animated videos, I’m planning to go in that direction. Hoping to start working on this channel in September this year.

🐺Atelier Rhyme [YouTube / Ongoing ]

• Concept
  Pokemon fan animation channel where I make movies and cute videos about my Pokemon team.
• Status
  Close to fulfilling monetization requirements.
  Expected to fulfill requirements to open membership by the end of June, and requirements for ads monetization by the end of August. (End of July if I’m lucky.)

• 31 Mar 2021: Like my Tenko Vlog channel, this channel was originally created on 31 Mar 2021 as a place for me to dump my game logs of whichever game I happened to be playing, so I didn’t make it with an audience in mind.
• 3 Feb 2026: Posted my first ever voiced animated video to overcome my shyness and fear of speaking. It started for fun, and I posted several more after that with ‘overcoming my shyness’ as my main goal.
  They did better than expected and my viewers were really supportive, so I saw some hope down this road and decided to be serious with it. I decided to make ‘voiced animated videos about my Pokemon team’ the main content of this channel and kept going in this direction.
  At this point, I only had around 550 subscribers and 150 watch hours.
• 30 Mar 2026: Hit 1805 subscribers and 1005 watch hours. I experimented with many new things to keep improving my videos. Also got used to speaking and listening to my own voice.
• 11 May 2026: 2552 subscribers, 2164 watch hours. Halfway there! I’m basically glued to my computer working from when I wake up till when I sleep everyday with no holiday! Exhausting, but I’ll do my best to maintain this schedule until all 3 channels have enough content to support themselves. Let’s keep going!
