This page is a log about my YouTube projects and channel growth. I have plans to make 3 channels in total (Atelier Rhyme, Tenko Vlog, Atelier Tenko), bringing them from zero until they’re all monetized. I’ll just log my progress here to keep track of things, commit to my goals, and maintain my motivation.
Foreword
Being an extremely shy person who hated their own voice, I never even thought of becoming a YouTuber before. But when I tried making voiced animated videos to overcome my shyness in Feb 2026, it went much better than expected, so it felt like a previously invisible door just opened to me. I don’t know if I’ll be any good at this, but I’ll give it a chance and try to get my channels monetized. If it works, I’ll consider becoming a full-time YouTuber.
For context, I quit my job as a professional game artist a while ago to become a manga artist, but things happened and I had to abort the plan. I’m currently living off my savings, so I have until it runs out to make something happen. If it works, I’ll keep at it. Otherwise, I go back to job hunting. Will do my best!

- 31 Mar 2021: Like my Tenko Vlog channel, this channel was originally created on 31 Mar 2021 as a place for me to dump my game logs of whichever game I happened to be playing, so I didn’t make it with an audience in mind.
- 3 Feb 2026: Posted my first ever voiced animated video to overcome my shyness and fear of speaking. It started for fun, and I posted several more after that with ‘overcoming my shyness’ as my main goal.
They did better than expected and my viewers were really supportive, so I saw some hope down this road and decided to be serious with it. I made ‘animated videos about my Pokemon team’ the main content of this channel and kept going in this direction.
At this point, I only had around 550 subscribers and 150 watch hours. - 30 Mar 2026: Hit 1805 subscribers and 1005 watch hours. I experimented with many new things to keep improving my videos. Also got used to speaking and listening to my own voice.
- 11 May 2026: 2552 subscribers, 2164 watch hours. Halfway there! I’m basically glued to my computer working for 14-16 hours everyday with no holiday! Exhausting, but I’ll do my best to maintain this schedule until all 3 channels have enough content to support themselves. Let’s keep going!
- 15 Jul 2026: 2812 subscribers, 2803 watch hours. Started making my first movie on 23 April and releasing it in episodes as I finish them, but each episode taking very long to finish is slowing channel growth greatly. (If you’re still a small channel and you don’t post often enough, YouTube’s algorithm hates you XD) Still, I think it’s a necessary project since it’ll be my main format in future, so I’m learning a lot through this experiment. But for future projects, I’ll probably stick to small videos that I can finish in maximum 3 days, until I’ve built enough content library and subscriber count, before I attempt another giant project.
- 28 Jul 2026: 3000 subscribers, 3029 watch hours. Fulfilled the requirements to open Membership. Submitted the application and currently waiting for review.
- 30 Jul 2026: Passed the review. Membership is now open and Super Chat is now available! Now aiming to reach 4000 watch hours to make ads revenue available too.
- 11 Aug 2026: 3098 subscribers, 3285 watch hours. YouTube announced that on Feb 1 2027, the ad revenue requirements will be doubled from 4000 to 8000 watch hours. This channel is almost there, so I have no worries for this one, but my other two…! (They’re not even started XD!) I’ll do my best to monetize all three before Feb 1!!
- 14 Sep 2026: 3430 subscribers, 4000 watch hours. We did it! The channel’s now fully monetized! Thank you so much for all the support and for watching my videos!! I’ll do my best with my other two channels!
🌸Tenko Vlog [YouTube / In Progress]

An animated vlog where I talk about my adventures during my travels, the culture of the places I visit, and random interesting things in my daily life. - Status
Relaunched this channel on 28 Sep 2026. Hoping to finish monetizing it before YouTube makes it twice harder on 1 Feb 2027.

- 4 Jan 2021: This channel was originally created as a place to dump my travel vlogs that I recorded for myself. I was going to study abroad in France, and it’s a country I love dearly and want to keep in my memories, so I started making vlogs to document my stay. Otherwise, this channel wasn’t made with an audience in mind, so it was without direction and stayed mostly dormant when I’m not traveling.
- 28 Sep 2026: Relaunched this channel because I do love making travel videos, so I want to see if this channel can still be salvaged. Starting with 311 subscribers and 66 watch hours. Also changed direction from voiceless recorded videos to voiced animated vlogs. I hope I can use all the knowledge I got from working on Atelier Rhyme to make this a good channel!
🦊Atelier Tenko [Pending until 2027]
- Concept
A fully original YouTube channel where I make animated movies and series about my original characters. I have various stories that I was originally planning to write when I become a professional manga artist, but since that didn’t happen, I might as well make YouTube videos with them. - Status
Not yet made. Planning to make it in the first half of 2027 if possible, once I’m done monetizing my Tenko Vlog and Atelier Rhyme channels.
Unlike manga where I only need to draw a comic, I’ll need to make whole videos alone in this case, so I’m using my two other channels as testing grounds to experiment and build the necessary skills.

- 23 Apr 2026~: Currently making my first movie in Atelier Rhyme to see if it’s possible for one person to make an entire movie with a proper plot alone. I’ll be measuring how long it takes, seeing the general quality, and seeing what problems I run into along the way. It seems to be going well so far.

I can’t help with the subscribers but if I can help you with all of those hours of views I’ll do it.

Don’t feel bad, I just want you to get that monetization, but it’s fine, one of my friends say that he loves your work so he watch it for fun, and the another one see it because he’s new at pokemon fandom.
