Hi! How are you~? After some asking around, I got permission from the ‘Code: Dragon Blood’ (a.k.a. 龙族幻想 / ‘Dragon Raja’) official staff to post my fanwork of the game here! So I drew the above pic as celebration!
Code: Dragon Blood is an MMORPG that I’ve been playing for the past year and a half. I’ve made over 100 fanwork as I play, so look forward to them! I’m known as ‘Rhyme’ there, so I’ll set up a new section on this site called ‘Atelier Rhyme’ just for fanwork (It’ll prevent things getting mixed up with my original work). Look forward to it! (8 Nov 2021 update: I made it!)
Permission from the Code: Dragon Blood Official Staff
I make various fanwork A LOT, but so far, I didn’t post any of them here because I’m worried I might infringe the creators’ copyright. It seems to be a grey area when I researched about it, too. Still, if I’m really into a game or manga, I usually draw over a hundred pictures for it, and I’m sad if I can’t archive them here although they’re a huge part of my life.
These days, I’m into the MMORPG Code: Dragon Blood, and I’ve been drawing a lot of fanart for it. I posted all of them on Rhyme’s Twitter, but you know how horrible Twitter’s archiving system is. It’s close to impossible for my friends to find my older art and look through them. So I thought that it’ll be nice if I can archive them here, so anyone can see them any time!
So I gathered some courage and went to ask the official staff on Twitter if I can post them on this site, and whether it’ll cause any copyright problems. I wasn’t expecting much, but they replied and told me that it’s completely fine! (Yay!)
Here’s the direct message of me asking for confirmation, if you want to see the evidence:

【Confirmation about Copyright】
Hello! This is Rhyme. I always have fun playing the game. Sorry to bother you with this DM while you’re busy.
I’m making an art blog lately. I love CDB and I’ve been making a lot of fanwork for it. If it’s OK, I’d like to upload it to my site, so I want to ask if it’ll cause copyright issues.

If this is OK, I’ll upload my works, otherwise I won’t. Please tell me if there are any other conditions as well. Take your time and I’m looking forward to your reply!
P.S. Thanks a lot for the awesome Dream Theater event and for choosing me for the user poll. There are only a few days left, so let’s both do our best!
Official Staff:
This is the ‘Code: Dragon Blood’ management team.
Thank you for confirming about the copyright of the game screenshots. We’ve looked through your message and we don’t see any problem with it. (You can use the screenshots / post your fanwork as long as you’re not selling them.)
Thank you so much for making wonderful works for CDB. We hope that you continue enjoying the game.
Conclusion
And that’s it! I’m so glad I asked them! Otherwise, I’d have never posted any fanwork here as I doubt their copyright! Some bravery goes a long way ^^ (I actually got the above permission 2 months ago in September, but I’ve been too busy with real life to do anything about it… Well, things settled down by now, so full speed ahead!)
Still, if I ever plan on uploading fanwork from other games or manga here in future, I’ll probably ask again for permission from their respective staff just to be doubly sure. That said, look forward to Atelier Rhyme!
